See the Ranch in the winter wonderland! You and your crew will have a chance to build snow shelters, cross-country ski, or day hike. Kanik treks take place primarily on weekends throughout January, February, and March, but can be scheduled at other times as well. A special Holiday program is scheduled for December. You and your crew will have a chance to learn what it takes to survive and be comfortable in cold weather.

Any individual who is at least 14 years of age by January 1 or in the eighth grade at the time of participation - without exception! All participants must be registered members of the BSA. There are no gender restrictions for adult leadership at National High Adventure bases, except that each coed crew must have coed adult advisors. Crew sizes range from 6-10.
