Dear Philmont Trail Meal Customers,
We have just completed another great season at Philmont Scout Ranch. We do have some surplus trail meals for sale. These meals are great for training hikes or other local council activities.
If you are interested in buying some of these surplus meals I have included an order form, a form for your credit card information and a menu of what is included in each meal. You can email your order to me at barry.harper@scouting.org
Our current inventory contains a good quantity of all of the meals. Last year the breakfast and lunch meals sold out first. If your needs include either breakfast or lunch you should order early.
Once you have placed your order we will normally ship it within 48 hours. You will receive a confirming email when your order has shipped. We normally ship UPS Ground from Cimarron, New Mexico. The shipping charges are added to your food order. This provides 2 to 6 day delivery anywhere in the United States. If you need special shipping we will try to accommodate your needs.
There is special pricing available from September 1 to December 15, 2009. Councils that purchase $2,500 or more will receive a 20% discount on the cost of meals. Individual troops that purchase $500 or more will receive a 10% discount on the cost of the meals. All orders from $5,000 up to $20,000 will 30% discount on the cost of the meals that exceeds $5,000. All orders that are over $20,000 will receive free shipping. All orders that are less than $20,000 will have shipping charges added based on the current UPS/Fed Ex shipping rate.
The meals offered for sale are 2009 surplus trail meals. These meals may contain some items that have past the manufacturer’s recommend “use by” date. There can not be any returns, credits or adjustments due to out of date meal components.
